A Horrendous Experience at Grand Mercure Mysore
Our stay at Grand Mercure Mysore was a complete letdown from start to finish. The issues began at check-in with major communication gaps and incompetent room allocation. Despite booking 2 rooms with elderly and kids, we were offered rooms on separate floors, forcing us to wait hours while the staff fumbled for a solution. Luggage handling was equally chaotic—our bags remained unattended, and we had to retrieve our car keys ourselves just to get them delivered.
The management showed no willingness to help, refused to process a refund for a downgraded room, and remained dismissive throughout. Service at breakfast was shockingly poor—a 20-minute wait for an omelette speaks volumes about their carelessness and inefficiency.
This was a stay marred by inexperienced staff, disorganized processes, and management’s refusal to take accountability. For a hotel of this stature, such a lack of professionalism is unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting even basic hospitality.
